University of Mila, Algeria

The University of Mila is a public institution with a scientific, cultural, and professional focus, possessing legal personality and financial autonomy,It was established by Decree No. 25-266, dated 15 Rabie El Awwal 1447, corresponding to October 7, 2025.

The University of Mila opened its doors at the start of the 2008-2009 academic year with over 1,000 students. Today, it has grown to accommodate more than 11,900 students, supported by 380 faculty members and 250 technical and administrative staff.

As an ever-evolving educational and scientific institution, the University of Mila is committed to research, scientific advancement, and technological development within the scientific community.

The University offers a broad range of programs across the three academic cycles: Bachelor’s, Master’s, and Doctorate. These programs span a variety of fields, including scientific, technological, economic, legal, and literary disciplines. The programs are delivered by a team of highly qualified experts who are responsible for both academic training and student supervision. They are distributed across six specialized Faculties:

The University promotes and disseminates the culture of innovation, and participates in strengthening the national scientific potential, the valuation of the research results, and the dissemination of scientific information and technical cooperation. It also participates within the international scientific and cultural community for the exchange and spreading of knowledge.

Location and region

The University of Mila is located five kilometers from the city center on the road connecting the cities of Mila and Zghaya and occupies a total area of ​​87 hectares.
